B2E 04:16
B2E (Back to Earth) Lyrics and Music by Vanessa Littrell © 2022 Seattle Sound Works (BMI) and Sugar Addikt I didn’t believe it when you said you heard the call And you’re leaving in the morning. The television flickers, it hasn’t started yet Something makes me shiver, and I hate to watch them play They’re starting on the countdown, I’m reliving all the years Been captive to the promises. (ah, Houston we have a problem) Standing here on standby, and something isn’t right I search for consolation, there’s the radio reply (Tell my wife I love her, she knows) And you’re floating out there never to return And I can’t help but feeling, like I’m the one burning in the atmosphere When did I become your champion? You told us to be proud of all the things that you had done All I wanted was for you, to come back to earth You told us to be proud of all the things that you had done All we wanted was for you, to come back to earth (Do you copy? Are you receiving me? I’ve lost stabiliz - - - Do you copy? Did not collect requested data I repeat, did not collect requested data I’m sorry, I love you) Tell my wife I love her, won’t sustain me through the night I need someone to hold me, now you’re orbiting out of our sight And you’re floating out there never to return And I can’t help but feeling, like I’m the one burning in the atmosphere When did I become your champion? You told us to be proud of all the things that you had done All I wanted was for you, to come back to earth And so we’re really proud of all the things that you have done All we wanted was for you to come back to earth

DTN8 03:07
DTN8 (Detonate) Lyrics and Music by Vanessa Littrell © 2022 Seattle Sound Works (BMI) and Sugar Addikt This isn’t your average lullaby The advertisers went to lunch I have a hunch They’ll run and hide Don’t expect any answers Don’t be standing in line A new storm is brewing The fish hook is luring The lines are all blurring It’s time

8BALL 03:59
8BALL Lyrics and Music by Vanessa Littrell © 2022 Seattle Sound Works (BMI) and Sugar Addikt You don’t have to lie I know I’m fallin Stars just won’t align And I’m behind the eight ball Going slo mo February came And like a digital refrain It pecked at my brain And I’m behind in numbers Feeling slumber Kicking in Like it’s gonna win And I failed Do you believe we’re changing destiny? Do the constellations all agree on anything? Anything at all? Harbors safe And harbors dry Regard the faces That hide the lies You got your prize How does it feel Shook the tree There’s nothing left to steal Do you believe we’re changing destiny? Do the constellations not agree on anything? Anything at all? Do you believe we’re changing destiny? ‘Cause, I don’t really know You don’t have to lie I know I’m fallin Stars just won’t align And I’m behind the eight ball Going slow motion

4TFY 02:42
4TFY (Fortify) Lyrics and Music by Vanessa Littrell © 2022 Seattle Sound Works (BMI) and Sugar Addikt Tether me to your love Or else I’ll float away Tether me to your love Or else I’ll float away You are the muse I am the metal Give me a fuse And light me up! Tether me, tether me baby Moon walking, and stars abide Make a flame, and say goodbye I feel your glow upon my skin Take a ride and go within Arms around me, metal clutch Phases come between our touch I hear you talking, but I can’t listen When we merge the cosmos glistens Tether me to your love Tether me to your love You’re confused But I’m official This ain’t no ruse Just light me up! Tether me, tether me baby You are the flame I am the metal baby You’ve got to Fortify, fortify my love Fortify, fortify my love Fortify, fortify my love Vitamin L-O-V-E

LMBT1 04:18
LMBT1 (Let Me Be The One) Lyrics and Music by Vanessa Littrell © 2022 Seattle Sound Works (BMI) and Sugar Addikt Take my hand, I won’t give you the promised land I just wanna show you something I have in mind Lay your head upon this pillow I made you Let me tell you a story of the heart Some people wanna keep you happy Some people wanna change your mind Some people only know how to rob you blind Some people are just makin a living Some people are just getting by Some people are just barely holding on Let me be the one This is no ordinary game I will not wrestle with your heart I will not take more than I give I am ready to live Let me be the one Just listen and give me a moment to answer The question that’s been preying on your mind Breathe me in and take a moment to savor This feeling that I give you will last a while This is no ordinary game I will not wrestle with your heart I will not take more than I give I am ready to live I am not asking for your soul I will not try to take control I will not agitate your skin I am just here waiting Let me be the one Close your eyes And slip into my conscience There is only I I am not asking for your soul I will not try to take control I will not hold you under siege I will make you believe I am the one I am the one

about

After a long dark spiral through the aftermath of a great loss, Sugar Addikt presents her version of healing and recovery. The story of Chasing Orbits begins at the departure of a favored son (B2E and DTN8), moves into the darkest days (8BALL), then choosing love connections and forward momentum (4TFY and LMBT1). It is part sci-fi, part 70's art song, with a twist of electro dance pop, orchestral musings and disco diva influences.

The album would not exist without the tremendous support of colleague and producer, Mario Inchausti.

Sugar Addikt would like to thank: Nathan, for all he does to support music, love and laughter. Mario, for wizardry and orchestration behind the production wheel. Mom, because, she's the mom!

This album is in memorium of founding member Bowman Elliott Littrell. Son, producer, and friend. It is a work based in tears and discovery, missing you, and also knowing you are very much in the music still.
